Islamic

Voted "Society of the Year" in 2015, the LSESU Islamic Society offers a wide variety of services for both Muslims and Non-Muslims on campus; from talks, interfaith and charity events.

About us

As one of the most diverse societies, the Islamic Society offers a wide variety of services for Muslims and Non-Muslims; from talks, socials and sports, to interfaith and charity events as well as mentoring and spiritual activities!

We provide the opportunity to gain greater knowledge on this much-discussed global faith.

Membership

Purchasing a membership to join the Islamic Society will give you access to complete fixtures of all events being held, as well as access to voting rights at all elections that the ISoc holds, with the right to run for any elected position.

As a member, not only will you be able to support the ISoc with day to day running of events and further opportunities, but you will also be given access to joining our social and community work such as the GIVE fortnightly food drives.

As a member, you join a community where you will meet loads of like-minded individuals which will help give you the perfect LSE Experience.

Events and Activities

Over the course of the year, we will be holding a wide variety of events. Regular socials for brothers and sisters to attend, going out for a casual lunch and simply spending time having fun on campus.

On a structured basis, we will be offering fortnightly food drive to give back and support in removing the problem of homelessness in London. We will also be hosting weekly Islamic circles, and regular talks from sheikhs and Islamic teachers to help develop and grow our spirituality.

If you’re looking for a home on campus and simply someone to talk to, the ISoc has that covered without weekly Friday lunch sessions after jummah, where we all get together and go out to eat after the Friday prayers. A great opportunity to build friendships.
