What is Enactus?
Enactus aims to support young people in the UK to engage in youth social action and youth social enterprise. We believe that investing in students who take ENtrepreneurial ACTion for others creates a better world for US all. Globally, our community of 72,000 members operate in 36 different countries and dedicate 7,300 hours annually.
What do we do?
Enactus is different from other societies that deal with social problems in that we use an entrepreneurial approach to create real, long-lasting social impact. Last year, our 3 social enterprises under our arm successfully impacted over 25 beneficiaries. Some of our beneficiaries who participated in our workshops have then used the skills they learnt to start their own businesses.
Besides empowering individuals, we also have pro bono consulting opportunities.. We will provide a training session before you begin your consulting projects, to be delivered by our esteemed business advisors from Accenture, EY and more.
However, the crux of Enactus is our social projects. Our team has dedicated hours to building a business model for each of our social projects, from the ideation process to the needs assessment stage and finally the impact phase. We aim to develop financially sustainable projects and we want you to be a part of it. Each and every interaction you get with your clients and the relationships you build will all form a part of your rewarding experience with Enactus.
Why join us?
Seize the opportunity to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, improve your communication, learn how to lead, manage workflows and even brainstorm ideas to innovate. Most importantly, join us to cultivate your inner gratitude and generosity, to simply give back to society. If that doesn’t convince you, then at least doing good sounds impressive to your employers too.
Come join our network of over 3,000 students in the UK across 60+ universities, all with the same aspiration to create a better, more sustainable world. Here at Enactus LSE, you will be a part of the most successful Enactus teams in the UK as we invite you to join us on our journey to change lives. Just last year, we placed top 8 out of 62 teams at the annual Enactus Nationals Competition, won multiple shortlists for grants to fund our projects and we were ultimately recognised as the “Most Improved” team both by Enactus UK and LSESU!
Joining Enactus will take you on a completely transformative journey that bridges the gap between traditional education and the working world. Excelling in lectures does not guarantee that you will succeed in a highly demanding and ever-changing workplace. With a fixed curriculum and a niche focus on a few skills, something needs to change. This is where Enactus comes in as we provide you with practical, hands-on learning so you can truly understand how things work. Jump start your career today by showing your employers you are capable of doing good and doing well at the same time.
Think of it as giving back to charity, but with added benefits.
