Somali

Welcome to the LSESU Somali Society - the first of its kind!

The Somali Society here at the LSE aims to open a window of information for those interested in Somali culture, tradition, history and current affairs. We hold many public lectures with invited VIPs surrounding the political, economic and social developments in Somali territories. Through our social dinner parties, joint events with other societies and organisations, trips and picnics, we aim to bring students together from various backgrounds, to promote collaboration in the East African region and to encourage intercultural understanding here at the LSE and beyond. We also engage with the wider Somali community and particularly reach out to younger Somali students interested in an education at the LSE.
