About us

Come and join one of the largest sports clubs on campus!

Whether you want to improve your fitness or hone your fighting skills, LSE Boxing is the club for you! We hold 3 sessions a week and welcome boxers of all levels and abilities, including those who are completely new to the sport. The sessions are ran by a top professional coach, who makes sure the environment is safe, friendly and competitive. For those who want to, there is the opportunity to develop your skills through sparring, although this is very much optional.

We are not only one of the biggest clubs on campus, we are also one of the most social, hosting events every week! These include club dinners, joint socials with other clubs and Wednesday nights at the world famous Zoo bar. LSE Boxing is the perfect place to meet new people and make friends for life.

In addition to that, the club hosts the greatest event on the AU calendar: Fight Night! In front of 1200 people at York Hall, some of LSE’s finest battle it out in the ring, after a period of intense training.

Membership

Membership costs £25 and is open to all LSE students. Being a member gives you access to sessions (there is still a £3 cost per session) and socials throughout the year. The membership fee helps the club purchase new equipment and also goes towards the socials.

The session cost ensures that we are able to pay the coach.

Events and Activities

Throughout the year we have 2 regular training sessions a week. These have a focus on fitness and developing boxing technique. There is also one advanced session a week. Here, there is the opportunity to spar, as well as further improving your skills.

Every Wednesday we host a social event. These include (amongst others) club dinners, karaoke nights and joint socials with other clubs. In addition to that, the club hosts the greatest event on the AU calendar: Fight Night – an LSE Boxing extravaganza at York Hall in front of 1200 people!
