PHD Officer De-brief Launch

Dear Research/PhD Student,

I would like to welcome all the new Research/PhD students to LSE and all the rest of you once again to the new academic year 2016/17.

Exciting times are ahead of us. Together with the Students' Union and the PhD Academy, I worked on organising events to amplify the volume of your voice to be heard all over LSE.

Please allow me, to invite you to a warm welcome to the new academic year. Your Students' Union and I expect you large in number and will greet you with drinks on 28 September 2016 from 6pm onwards in the PhD Academy's premises.

I will de-brief the seniors amongst us and brief the juniors, launching the SU PhD Officer's De-brief. I asked you a lot of questions in the last survey. Many more of you than ever completed the survey. I would like to thank you and show you how you helped to change LSE's PhD and GTA experience with your answers.

PS. To all GTAs: The first ever GTA conference is to take place on 5 October 2016 from 6pm onwards at the PhD Academy. I will briefly introduce survey results, followed by an open discussion, and the election of LSE's first ever GTA Representative.
