The LSESU Islamic Society is delighted to announce that as part of our annual Discover Islam Week, we will be exploring the life of Abraham, peace be upon him, a highly esteemed Prophet in Islam. The Lecture will be delivered by Ajmal Masroor.
Allah says in the Qur’an: “Salaam (peace) be upon Abraham!” (37:109). Known as being the ‘Father of all Prophets’ and ‘a friend of God’, we hope to reflect on his importance and significance in the Islamic and Abrahamic traditions, exploring the way in which he plays a significant role in the three different faiths and why he was especially beloved to God.
