Member of Academic Board

Academic Board is the highest level committee within LSE’s academic governance. It is responsible for monitoring and upholding the academic standards of the School and for regulating teaching. All academics are members and there are a total of seven student members (General Secretary, Education Officer, Postgraduate Officer, Postgraduate Research Officer, Graduate Teaching Assistant Officer and two students elected during the Michaelmas Term elections). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend LSESU committee training

  • Attend and contribute to Academic Board meetings (normally two per term)

  • Read the papers in advance of the meeting and engage with the support provided by LSESU (normally in the form of a written briefing with the option of an online meeting)

  • Communicate any developments from Academic Board meetings to LSESU
