Dear Fellow Students, 

My name is Akshay Honmane, and I am running for the position of Member of Academic Board as I consider that students issues shall be at the center of every academic decision-making process and that no voice gets unheard. 

My 5-point priorities are: 

1. Advocating for in-person lectures for most of the programmes 
2. To Integrate active feedback on academic workload to enhance mental well-being 
3. Fast-track services for students in exceptional circumstances
4. Expand the scope of academic mentors and peer-support 
5. Increase transparency and fairness in academic decision making 

Why Vote Akshay? 

I come with a two years of varied experience as a researcher, consultant and teacher in think-tanks, consultancy firm and the University respectively. I better understand what the real issues are faced by students who wish to excel in diverse fields in their future. 

I cannot promise you an immediate change because it won’t be wise enough, but I will make sure every student is satisfied, heard, seen, valued and most importantly better enabled towards a sustainable future.
