LAEBA SHEIKH

Let's Ensure LSE is fair, Vote Laeba #1 for Welfare

As your Welfare and Liberation officer, I aim to achieve:

  • INCLUSIVITY AND CARE

- To lobby the LSE to install jet sprays in washrooms across campus.

- To raise awareness and essentially organise monthly workshops as a means to provide students of different academic backgrounds seeking help with respect to learning.

- To tackle the problem of imposter syndrome for wider participation by normalizing it.

- To work on providing respective religious spaces for different religious groups on campus.

  • IMPROVED STUDENT EXPERIENCE

- Lobby the LSE to provide meal deals at a subsidized rate.

- To work on making vegan and vegetarian food options cheaper on campus.

- Lobby LSE to be the guaranteer for students booking private accommodation in order to avoid paying 3-6 months of rent in advance.

  • BETTER MENTAL HEALTH

- Lobby LSE to designate a mental health professional in every LSE hall of residence.

- Organise monthly relaxation sessions like pets visiting campus.

Let's Ensure LSE is fair, Vote Laeba #1 for Welfare!
