Emma Soderqvist

You can’t spell dEMocracy without EM!

My name is Emma and I would be honoured if you were to vote for me to be part of the Democracy Committee.

These are the core commitments which would drive me in the role:

Communication

In light of Covid, I believe it is particularly crucial that every LSE student is made aware of (1) the democratic processes happening on campus, and (2) how, where and when to engage with them. I will work to ensure communication is made clearer, more frequent and accessible.

Transparency

To improve life at LSE, students need to be aware of the mechanisms to achieve change but participation requires trust in those processes. I will relentlessly advocate transparency to rebuild this trust.

Representation

As students we account for a majority of our campus' population, but our representation is limited. I will, above all else, work towards representation which reflects the student body's diverse interests.
