Hi there!

I’m Mara Ghilan and I’m in MSc Global Politics. My multifaceted experience as a newcomer at LSE, together with the stories shared by many of you determined me not only to think of potential solutions to our problems but also to actually formulate applicable proposals and run for a position that would enable me to implement them.

  1. Let the Students Study! - campaign for more places on Lent Term courses
  2. Social Groups - randomised online and in-person postgraduate groups that would allow students from different departments to easily interact
  3. Come Walk With Me - a programme which facilitates the experience exchange between Undergraduate and Postgraduate students
  4. Self-isolation Support - peer groups and online events for those who are isolating
  5. Optional Methodology courses
  6. Events targeting postgraduate challenges: transitioning from education to employment, stress management and burnout prevention, finding meaningful work during your studies
  7. Fostering the integration of part-time and mature students by accommodating their specific needs

P.S. I’m studying part-time, so you can rest assured that you will benefit from all my tender loving care and attention as Postgraduate Officer - I myself would like to enjoy all the awesome policies I’ve got in store for you this year!
