More and more people are using mindfulness to improve the quality of their life with many reporting that it increases creativity levels, reduces stress and enhances emotional intelligence. So what is it? Simply put mindfulness involves learning to pay attention to the present moment in a non-judgemental fashion. In this friendly, informal session you’ll learn how to do this in a practical way and get the chance to experience the effects of mindfulness for yourself.  

 

By the end of the session you will have….

 

  • Learnt what mindfulness is and how you could apply it in your life.

 

LSESU Beyond the Classroom is an employability training programme designed to provide you with the opportunity to develop, learn and grow.

 

The programme offers a series of free, skills-based workshops on topics such as Managing Conflict; Public Speaking; Sponsorship; Campaigns; Event Management; and Social Media. Last year the programme received an 88% satisfaction rate from attendees and we put on a number of brand new sessions such as First Aid; Sign Language; and Coding. Sessions have been delivered by leading charities and companies, such as EY, the ONE Campaign, Teach First, and experienced advisers from LSE Careers and LSE Students’ Union.
