Beyond the Classroom: Public Speaking with Student Hubs

Information on the session & skill:

This session on public speaking will include:

  • Tips for structuring your talk and engaging with the audience
  • Tips for delivery
  • Non-verbal communication
  • How to combat nerves!
  • Tips for improvement

There will also be an opportunity to practice your public speaking and recieve feedback.

LSESU Beyond the Classroom is an employability training programme designed to provide you with the opportunity to develop, learn and grow.

 

The programme offers a series of free, skills-based workshops on topics such as Managing Conflict; Public Speaking; Sponsorship; Campaigns; Event Management; and Social Media. Last year the programme received an 88% satisfaction rate from attendees and we put on a number of brand new sessions such as First Aid; Sign Language; and Coding. Sessions have been delivered by leading charities and companies, such as EY, the ONE Campaign, Teach First, and experienced advisers from LSE Careers and LSE Students’ Union.
